  • Urgent Message for Michael von Keitz - Please correct your Chessbase report

Could you please correct your report on the Toronto Open at ChessBase, you or someone else has left off the Open section clear 3rd place finisher in the table, namely FM Goran Milicevic who finished 4.5.

I have tried emailing ChessBase & I have made comments under another string below but nothing has been changed.

    Thank you.

    Hi Jerry:

I just sent you the following from Michael:

From: michael.v.keitz@gmail.com [mailto:michael.v.keitz@gmail.com] On Behalf Of Michael von Keitz

    Hello Bob,

I didn't actually send the results to Chessbase, simply the report, with Frederic Friedel having posted the standings (no idea where he got them from, considering they are incomplete). In any event, I contacted him earlier today, and I hope he makes the correction by sometime tomorrow.

    Best wishes,

    Michael

Great thanks Bob. Not only are you a ratings killer (as some found out on the weekend) and a sharp legal mind but you are also a credit to the name Robert J.

Thanks to all, this has been corrected, with 17 players now listed in the final open standings instead of 12 & Goran included.

            Hi Zeljko:

The only last quibble I might have with the article is they call Bator Sambuev a " Russian " GM. He is now a permanent resident and thus qualifies to be called a " Canadian " , though his FIDE federation is still showing Russia.

Does anyone know if he's yet started any process with the CFC/FIDE to change his federation?

            Bob

              Hi Bob,

You should ask this and if the title applications are up to date on the CFC message board.

We had a discussion here about a title which had not been applied for and which was on a "to do" list. I'm wondering if that application has ever been made. I haven't noticed it on the list of title applications which appears on the FIDE site.
