Nice bios of the players and commentators on the website. The women's has 3 youngsters getting a great experience. The championship section (men) would have to be a larger field to get their young masters included. The US can afford to sponsor a small group of the elite, while Canada's Championship offers a training experience for the younger masters. -

Given the proximity in rating between Kamsky (2680) and Shankland (2661), I must say I'm surprised that Kamsky is such an overwhelming betting favourite in R1, namely, 17/20 vs 12/1, which certainly strikes me as excessive (:

The following regulations shall be in effect throughout the 2015 U.S. Championship and 2015 U.S. Women's Championship
• Prompt Arrival: Players are expected to arrive promptly for their games. Players more than 30 (thirty) minutes late for a round shall forfeit that round.
• Early Draws: A 30-move draw rule will be in effect throughout the Event, including any playoff games. Players may not agree to a draw in less than 30 moves.
• Electronic Devices: No cell phones or other electronic devices shall be allowed in the tournament area. Any violation involving a cell phone or other electronic device that emits any noise during a game shall result in forfeiture of that game.
• Time Control: 90 minutes for the first 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an addition of 30 seconds (increment) per move starting from move one.
Notation: Due to the 30-second increment, Players are required to maintain an accurate and legible score sheet at all times during all games, and are required to keep their notation up-to-date.

Hey Jack,
you must be getting rich from all these faulty betting odds that are presented to you. Or are you like the pool players looking for a half blind Parkinsons sufferer to play against. Pool players never want to bet with an edge - they want an absolute lock!
If you have a situation where you're a 51% favorite and bet a $100 one hundred times you should end up $200 to the good.
