            What text are you entering exactly? I would recommend starting the string with http:// or https:// - whichever it needs...

                If you just paste the actual URL (eg: http://chess.ca ) the forum software should recognize it as a link and make it so. If you want to do something fancy like make up your own text as a link,
                like this Chess Federation of Canada you have to use the URL command... in what follows, I will substitute { and } for [ and ] so you can see how to create it:

                {URL="http://chess.ca"} xxxxxx whatever text you want to assign to the link xxxxx {/URL} OR you can click on the little world icon in the icon bar at the top of the quick reply box to do
                most of the work...
