Hans do you have a link to the pre-registered lists?
I can't make it this year but I have two friends that wanted to go but the link on this post lead to no large lists.
            Thanks

                        Re: Kitchener Chess Festival 2015

Is there a reason why chessfest is not posted on the CFC website.
Thanks James for atleast advertising the tournament on chesstalk.

They want 100+ dollars for entry fees and cant be bothered to advertise it on CFC.

Thanks Mate. It does frustrate me when organizers do not use the free tournament advertising available on the CFC website. It is a simple procedure to register your tournament. But the process is initiated by the organizers, not the CFC office. I can't be expected to know about every tournament across the country. :)

However, I did notice that it was not listed, so I did add it to upcoming tournaments on the homepage!

That brings up something I thought the CFC could do. Why not require for a tournament to be rated that it be advertised on the CFC website for say a month before the tournament? It's free, so it's not really a bother, and it would help the players out if they know when the events that are CFC rated are. Thoughts on this?
