Gives me great hope that the next generation will undo some of the messes we've made......a truly remarkable video. I also encourage all to watch it. I am reposting it on my FB sites. Thanks, Qiyu, for taking the time and making a supreme effort.

      But, but, but... why Nickelback?

Or maybe the reason was to make the viewer suffer a little bit as well, so he can relate to the content? :p

You obviously share Prachi Gupta's sentiments, Mathieu, who had Nickelback head her "15 most hated bands of the last 30 years" (:

Nonetheless, a remarkable video that I've passed on to my friends and family. I note that Qiyu has produced a number of other videos via YouTube. Here's 'her first narrative short', "On the bridge".

Although the idealism of some of today's young people is encouraging, I can't help remembering that a fair number of our 'boomer' generation had some high-minded aims in our youth as well - civil rights, stop pollution, end the war in Vietnam, relieve poverty etc. Maybe the Milennials will do better?

I enjoyed her video and I think she is a remarkable young woman and wish her all the best.

Millennials have a significant advantage (in many cases built by non-millennials) - namely access to the Internet, tools like YouTube and Twitter and a global network that is more interconnected than in any other time in history. The exponential growth of many industries and activities from their adoption of technology is a HUGE lever and the fruits of that are just beginning...
