Thanks Larry! I expect the event will begin to rotate to USA and Mexico as of next year.
Our lads have their work cut out for them this year. Currently the US IM Safal Bora and FM youth star Awonder Liang are 3/3. Jason Cao leads the Canadian charge with 2.5. Razvan dropped his round 2 game but remains in the hunt with 2/3.
The girls' division is a little different. Yilin Li is in the first point group at 2.5 and Qiyu Zhou is undefeated with 2/3. I have a good feeling about both of their results to come.

It's a big day today for our girls. Qiyu plays on board one and needs a win to stay in contention. Then if Yilin Li is able to win on board 2 she will be alone in first with Qiyu in the second point group.

Congrats to Terry Song, who won his last four games (three of them against FMs) to finish clear 3rd and earn the FM title.

I've posted more photos from rounds 8 and 9 and the closing ceremony.:)
