Participate for fun and competition in the second annual
Northern Active Chess Tournament
Date: Saturday, August 22, 2015
Time: Rounds begin at 10:00 a.m. sharp
Late registrations accepted from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Entry Fee: $25
Location: Sault College (443 Northern Ave, Sault Ste. Marie, ON)
Essar Hall, Room M1240
(large room, natural lighting, quiet setting)
Prizes: Cash and medals to 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall Trophy to top junior player
This fun and competitive tournament is open to players of all ages and skill levels. Last year’s youngest player was 6 years old!
Tournament organization will be 5 rounds by Swiss Pairings.
Touch rules are in effect.
Chess clocks will be used with 30 minutes per player per game.
Please bring a chess clock if you own one.
All players are guaranteed 5 games (including one possible bye).
