NM LIAM HENRY LECTURE/Tournaments/Casual Play - Wed, Nov 18, 2015
We are very happy to announce that Liam Henry will be doing the advanced lecture this Wednesday. Liam is very well known in the Canadian Chess Community as a chess player & teacher. Hope you can make it! 6PM!
We will be selling books and key chains (:made by me) to help fund-raise the Toronto Rapid Chess Championship.
$10 hardcover, $5 softcover, $2 New in Chess Magazine & other magazines $1.
Regarding key chains, if we people are interested - I can make a key chain of your choice. Let me know which piece/with or without a design. $3 for 1, $5 for 2. We have already sold over 10 key chains so far! They are a hit!

Woman National Master Yelizaveta Orlova will be doing a lecture to the beginner/intermediate crowd.
Advanced lecturer will be done by NM Liam Henry!

Blitz tournament:
Time: 7-10pm
Registration: Pre-register to pubchesstoronto@hotmail (.com) or go to our events page on FB
Location: Madison Ave Pub, 14 Madison Ave, Toronto (2 min NE of Spadina station)
Time control: Open section - 3 min 2 sec inc, 5 double rounds (Play opponent white & black) or Lower section: 8 min 2 sec inc, 5 rounds
Sections: Players divided into 2 to 4 sections depending on turnout, may "play up"
Prizes: Based on entries, overall prizes & class prizes awarded
The Madison specials on Wednesdays:
- 50% off appetizers from 5-8PM
- Wings $5 per 1lb
- $4 2 oz mixed drinks
