    Presented by the Archangel 8 Chess Academy, An official affiliate of the US Chess Federation Celebrating over 17 years of Enrichment youth Chess Programs


    Scholastic K-12 championships – 5 USCF Rated Games. 4 Sections — all Girls, K-3, 4-8 and 9-12 Grades.


    K-12 CHAMPIONSHIPS Entry Fee: $15 or
    SECTION $25 Cash at the door.
    No checks accepted at the site!

    Discount for multiple family- members participating: $5.00 less.
    Scholastic Awards Trophies to the Top 5 winners

    Starting times


    Scholastic K-12: one day event - Players must report by 10 am
    Saturday: 10:30am, noon, 1:30pm, 3pm & 4:30pm | awards ceremony at 6pm


    Two Sections of play: Open & U1600, USCF Rated Games. USCF Membership is Required.

    One Bye available, must notify tournament director by Game 2, none available for finals. Championship titles and Trophies Awarded.
    INTERNATIONAL OPEN SECTION: All Free Entries to GM, IM, FM with deduction from winnings.


    OPEN SECTION Advance Entry Fee: $50 or $60 Cash at the door.
    FORMAT Two Day Event. 5 games, Game 115;d5; Bye available (one per player), must commit by round 2, must notify tournament director.

    CASH PRIZES Based on 30 entries, or else in proportion
    for OPEN SECTION Champion will receive $400+ Friendship’s Cup;
    2nd Place - $300; 3rd Place - $200; 4th Place - $100
    TOP U2000 – $145

    Saturday: 10am, 2:30pm & 7pm | Sunday 10am & 2:30pm



    U1600 SECTION Entry Fee: $30 or $40 at the door.

    FORMAT Two Day Event, 6 games, Game 60; d5 Bye
    available (one per player), must commit by round 2, must notify tournament director.

    CASH PRIZES
    for U1600 SECTION

    Based on 24 paid entries, else in proportion. Champion will receive $300 + Friendship Cup; 2nd Place - $200 + Trophy; 3rd Place - $100
    Top U1200 - $120


    U1600: Two day event - Players must report by 9:30 am
    Saturday and Sunday: 10am, 12:30pm, 3pm

    Just bumping up !

    We have a couple of Canadians registered. 3 girls and 3 male registered so far.

    I certainly it is worth a try to play in this tournament with such a reasonable entry fee and a chance of winning 10 times your entry fee.
