Sorry Ralph, I have to cancel this weekend. Back problems that started yesterday are still with me today. A treatment session this morning has helped, but I'll be on muscle relaxants for the weekend and have been advised not to sit too much. So, no chess for me.
Oh man Bob! I was looking forward to talking about "feeling the Bern" with you this weekend, oh well...
University and Chess, a difficult mix.

Hi Ralph, What were the final numbers and the results? I know you won the seniors in a very competitive field. Congratulations! I also know that GM Sambuev won the tournament but didnt have an easy time of it and lost to Razvan Preotu. I dont know results in the bottom two sections.

        Hi Hans,

I can't speak for the other sections but the U1600 ended up with a 3 way tie for 1st with 4.0/5. Daniel Yu came very close to making it 4 at 4/5 but blundered in a won endgame and lost. I also came close to finishing with 4.5/5 but took a draw too early in a won endgame with K and 2 pawns each. Based on strength of opposition however it finished MATTHEW BLAKE first, JOHN NGUYEN 2nd, and ALAN LI 3rd.
