When: March 15th, 22nd, 29th; April 5th, 12th (open to any CFC members*)
Byes: Maximum of one 1/2 point bye in the first four rounds (Rounds 1-4), no bye for Rd 5.
Bye requests: Any player who wishes to receive a BYE must notify us by 5 pm the Sunday before that round. Byes requested after the deadline will result in zero points. Tentative pairings will posted online on Mondays and will be finalized on Tuesdays. Forfeits will be rated.
Format
Style: 5-Round Swiss. CFC rated. One rated section (for CFC members)
Round Times: Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Time Control: G/60 min + 10 sec/move (starting from move 1)
Fees & Prizes
Club membership: Required (buy a six-week tournament membership for $5 or annual membership for $10).
Entry fee: $20 (to cover CFC rating fees and small souvenirs) if paid or confirmed in advance
Late fee: $10 on site.
Payment: Pre-register/confirm your participation ASAP
Prizes: Small souvenirs or trophies for winners (no cash prizes).

Registration: Cash on site from 6:45 p.m. to 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday (help speed things up - please be onsite before 6:50 p.m.). No cheques on site.
Other Things
Chess sets are provided for play. Please bring your own digital clock to make sure we have enough clocks. If neither of players has a digital clock (highly unlikely scenario), both will be getting a zero. To keep the entry fee low, we want to encourage each and every chess player to have his or her own digital clock. Players taking a bye in Round 1 can pay the entry fee 10 minutes before the Start of Round 2. Free parking provided.
