  • Adam Dorrance - A special guy!...and $1,200 richer today :)

Adam Dorrance of Nova Scotia, took part in his last Canadian Chess Challenge. He has represented his grade every year from grade 1 to grade 12! Not only that, he has won the National competition for his grade 8 times! Chess'n Math honoured the occasion by awarding Adam a special plaque and at the same time we presented him with a cheque for $1,200...$100 for each year he took part at the National level :). The only other player to receive such an award was Tanraj Sohal of British Columbia.

Both these players are outstanding individuals who without a doubt will make a significant contribution to Canadian Society. The Chess'n Math Association is proud to tell the world that we have future world leaders coming from our program :) (I know that may sound like being over the top...but one thing is for sure...these youngsters are totally awesome...and no doubt you will be hearing about them down the road :).

If you have ever taken part in the Canadian Chess Challenge, why don`t you go to our Facebook page and like us :): Chess'n Math Association Alumni. Victoria of B.C. has posted hundreds of pics from the event :). Also a very important thing to mention...Chris Dawson of Newfoundland is responsible for our results board...he is incredible!
