    Wait, an amateur blitz tournament is going to occur? (didn't see it on the website) When is it?

      Blitz on Saturday night, 8pm

      The blitz tournament will take place on Saturday night at 8pm. It is free to all festival players and $20 to visitors. Any entry fees from visitors will be returned as prizes.

        The deadline before the late fee has already passed, and only 7 people are registered in my section (not even enough for a seven-round round robin tournament). What's going to happen if it stays like that?

          William;
          you worry too much. I'd only worry if it was 5:59 July 29th pm and the numbers have not changed. But in the past the organizers have combined sections and still paid out prizes per section.
          That may have changed .

            The first things I look at on the tournament info are the dates and times, and the rating floors. If the organizers were to combine sections, therefore the rating floor dropping, then I'm not going to be very happy. I think they should just pull the top player from the section under my section to my section so we could have a round robin tournament.
