  • CYCC winners for 2016....

I am updating the list of CYCC winners for Canbase. Can I assume that the players listed first in each scoregroup won the title on tiebreak if there were two or more with the same (winning) score?
The site I used was: http://www.windsorchess.com/CYCC2016...standings.html

The CanBase site (up to 2015): http://canbase.fqechecs.qc.ca/wincycc.htm

That would be a correct assumption.

Since the U16 and U18 groups were both sexes combined, were any female winners declared in either age group? If so - who?

Vlad, if I remember correctly, Rahma Gillan (http://chess.ca/players?check_rating...101&key=161002) was registered for U16G at CYCC 2016.
Wasn't she declared Canadian U16G Champion?

You are right. I was incorrect. Rahma played in the under 16 boys/girls when she entered the under 16 girls. She was the only girl to play in the section. She entered on the last day after some arm twisting and persuasion. We had no entry for the under 16 girls for the first 154 of the 155 days of registration and that was what impressed itself on my memory. Thank you for reminding me.
