Entry Fee: Before March 10 - $60 per player
** $50/ player for 3+ players from the same school
March 10 - April 3 - $80 per player IF SPACE IS STILL AVAILABLE
after April 3 - No registrations will be accepted. Wait for 2018!
Sections: Beginner - Players rated < 1100 CFC or unrated AND with less than 2 years' tournament experience
Intermediate - Players rated < 1500, who have played on school teams or in tournaments for 2+ years
Championship - Players rated 1500+ or unrated, who have tournament experience and can compete
Prizes: Individual: Medals and Gift Certificates - top 3 in each section and top 3 in each school grade / group of grades
Team: (3+ players from the same school)
Medals and Gift Certificates to the top 3 teams in each section
Combined Team (1+ player in each section from the same school)
Medals and Gift Certificates to the top 3 teams
CYCC Qualifier: All players who are Under 18 as of 01/01/2017 and who win 3/6 will qualify for the Canadian Youth Chess Championship (CYCC) 2017
Schedule: FRIDAY: 7:45 am Check in ; 8:45 am Opening ; 9:00 am Round 1 ;
1:00 pm Rd 2 ; 5:30 pm Round 3
SATURDAY 8:45 am Round 4 ; 12:45 pm Round 5 ;
4:30 pm Round 6 ; 8:15 pm Award Ceremony
