Wow. Just wow. Do you apply this to everyone in these categories, or just certain specific persons (aside from the ones named)?

Mind if I write "Conservatives lie. Climate change deniers lie. Right wing extremists like lying Vlad Drkulek lie."? Didn't think so.

I can't imagine why I asked that we have a moderator for this board.

Vlad Drkulec = Charles Manson. Seriously???

While Vlad's opinions on climate change and the honesty of the media and US democrats are ones that I would charitably describe as poor choices, your analogy is also a very poor one. Aside from Vlad using his right to free speech and to vote for who he wants to, he has not influenced society regarding climate change, and nothing that the CFC has done has impacted climate change.

If as you stated Canadian chess is by comparison, nothing, then stop wasting your time discussing climate change on a bulletin board dedicated to chess, and spend your efforts trying to stop those whose actions have a real effect on the matters you care about (hint: see thread title). The benefits would be clearly more tangible.

Just kidding of course, but while I may be the crazy left wing socialist snowflake climate change alarmist and Vlad the extreme right wing capitalist zealot climate change skeptic, we leave our politics at the door. We’ll never see eye to eye on many issues, but it doesn’t mean we can’t work together for Canadian Chess.

Sorry Bob, but "leaving your politics at the door" is not acceptable any more. The reason can be illustrated thusly: if Vlad Drkulec were to be made ruler of the world, he would stop all efforts to mitigate man-made global warming. In other words, he would bet the future of all mankind on his preconceived belief that all the scientists are lying, that they are all perpetuating a hoax and fudging data. You really need to let that thought sink in. Vlad would potentially WIPE OUT HUMANITY because he won't accept any percentage chance, no matter how small, that climate change is real and is human-caused and can wipe out humankind. And you personally believe very strongly that this is the case, that human-caused climate change can wipe out humankind.

You might as well say you can "leave legalities at the door" and work for Charles Manson if Manson happened to believe in something good for chess.

As I said, I don't know your situation. Is your income from the CFC your only income? If so, then you figuratively ARE being held in chains in the basement of Drkulec Towers. But at some point, Bob, you have to decide just how strongly do you believe in the values you espouse, and you have to cut off any connection to people who have no conscience. And not just cut off connection to them, but publicly proclaim them for what they are.

Until you do that, you are literally nobody. That is the reality in today's world. There is nothing more serious we can talk about than the survival of humanity if you are a believer in the value of humanity. Canadian chess is, by comparison, nothing.

I had no intention of questioning your integrity or trustworthiness. I know nothing about you. I apologize if that is how you took it.
If you left a child in his custody he would probably try to teach them a chess variant.

"Credulity" -- what an excellent choice of term! Defined as "a tendency to be too ready to believe that something is real or true." But it could equally be defined as "a tendency to be too ready to believe that something is fake news."

Credulity seems to be the opposite of wisdom.

Remember back some time ago, I mentioned that Vlad Drkulec and Trump seem so alike? Well, credulity was the characteristic I put at the top of the list back at that time. Drkulec only needs to see something in a Taylor Swift song's lyrics and voila! it's true! And of course, Drkulec is absolutely MARRIED to anything that is conservative or right-wing.

Drkulec also likes to find obscure quotes from obscure people, as if just by knowing that quote, Drkulec is somehow wiser than everyone else. That was a favorite tactic of Jean Hebert on this forum also. I would also mention Bill O'Reilly, formerly of Fox News, as a practitioner of this tactic. On his half-hour show, he regularly put up a "Word of the Day" as if to say that he is the wise man who is teaching you his vast store of knowledge. So glad to see that guy go down!

Readers should realize when they see these tactics that the person behind them is a phony... the central message of The Wizard of Oz.

Why do you think everyone is a racist? You will probably have to be capable of constructing more water tight arguments if you hope to spring any of your murderer/rapist clients from prison. You need to up your game a bit.

Your arguments are idiotic, what the fuck?? Did God shit in your brain and forget to flush??? Oh....maybe not according to you no God, you were just born a shit head.
The sad part is that the Pro Bono work is funded by taxpayers at least to the extent that the donors are allowed a tax deduction. With Lying Ben Daswani's great arguments I'm sure we are safe from the rapists and murderers that he will be trying to spring from prison.

Jesus said "Blessed are the poor". The U.S. says "Steal from the poor".
