    Re: Échecs en Plein-air: Photo

These are photos from the Montreal outdoor event I mentioned in a previous thread:

"This weekend, there will be a 5 round game-in-one-hour tournament in Montreal.

Location: under the "tent" on the Lachine Canal behind the Atwater Market. (Lionel-Groulx metro).
    5-round Swiss - 3 rounds Saturday; 2 on Sunday.
    Registration: 10-10:30 am Saturday.
    Entry fee: $20. FQE rated.
(Sets are supplied - bring your clock)."

There are about 30 entries - and yesterday, there was a similar number of "casual" players - all playing in the "tent" (which is basically just a roof. A strong wind and a little rain would soak most players).

You can see the tent on Google Maps - go to http://maps.google.com . Select "rue des lacquiers, montreal,qc" and a satellite view. Zoom in as far as you can, follow the canal slightly to the right, and you will see a white rectangle. That's the "tent".
