This looks like a busy weekend! Kingston, Aurora and Guelph. I wish my fellow organizers all the best and I hope these 3 events are each successful. I would move my dates if I could but it was not possible when I announced in November of last year and there have been no cancelations since, so here we are.
Guelph Spring Pro-Am
April 1, 2, 2017
Room 442, Guelph University Centre
5 Round Swiss
3 CFC + FIDE Rated Sections: Pro, U2000, U1700
2 CFC Rated Sections: U1300, U1000
Players may play up one section if their current rating is
within 100 points of rating floor.
Extra cost is $20, proceeds to the Olympic Fund.
Round Times: Saturday 10:00am, 2:30pm, 6:30pm, Sunday 10:00am, 2:30pm
Time Control: All rounds G/90 + 30 sec. Forfeit time is 30 minutes after the start of each round.
Entry Fees: Payments received on or before March 17, 2017:
Pro Section $60, others $40.
After March 17, 2017: Pro Section is $70, others $50.
On Site Late Fee: $10.00
Single Half Point Byes: in rounds 1-4 may be requested in advance
Prizes: $60 per Pro player returned as prizes.
Trophies awarded in other sections
Registration: Prepayment required to avoid the onsite late fee.
