GM Andriy Vovk Simultaneous Exhibition at Pub Chess Toronto - Wed. July 19

Pub Chess Toronto would like to welcome GM Andriy Vovk from Ukraine (FIDE: 2637) who will be visiting Canada in July for the Canadian Open and for leisure purposes.

Entry fee for simul: $50 (Includes a drink/food ticket, Simultaneous exhibition, casual play)

If you bring a board of your own, Vovk will gladly sign it for you.

Please email: yelizavetaorlovachess@gmail.com if you will participate so she knows how many boards to bring for the simul. Casual play and tournament will still be running at the same time so we will have to get extra chess boards for this event.

Casual Play anytime between 7 - 11 PM.

Feel free to ask the organizers for some tips during your casual games!

Lecture topic/lecturer will change every week so be sure to check back so you don't miss out! We have hosted lectures by internationally renowned players such as WGM Jennifer Shahade and GM Eric Hansen.

Tournament:

Tournament starts at 7:45 PM. There will be no money prizes, the tournament is included in the $10 club fee.

There will be the option of two time controls, blitz or rapid. Blitz - 3 minutes + 3 seconds, 5 double-round, Rapid - 8 minutes + 5 seconds, 5 rounds

Hi everyone! We are 5 days away from the GM Vovk Simul!! PLEASE let us know if you are coming, we have to know how many boards to bring!

TWO SIMULS, TWO GMS this week. If you sign up for both simuls (GM Aryan Chopra at Annex Chess Club on Monday July 17 and GM Andriy Vovk at Madison Pub on Wednesday) for only $80! That's a $15 discount! Sign up ASAP!
