      Thanks Sid, good to read.

Man, i wish I knew of pilot wave theory when i was taking my third year quantum mechanics course.

Thanks Garland, I can remember 40(!) years ago in my first quantum physics course the Prof was characterizing the whole thing as a "wave of particles", i believe he may have been a fan of the Pilot Wave Theory unbeknownst to me at the time. Interestingly after Von Neumanns proof of the impossibility of hidden variables was shown to be flawed Einstein encouraged David Bohm in 1952 to rehabilitate the Pilot Wave Theory. David Bohm was literally Einstein's neighbor in Princeton and was very close to him. Here is an interesting movie documentary they are making about Bohm.

Particles? THEY DO NOT EXIST (except of course in our consciousness)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNVQfWC_evg

Pilot Wave theorists would differ. Refer to reply #57 in this thread for the relevant links. I'm officially a fan. http://forum.chesstalk.com/showthrea...hlight=quantum

In 1977 it was a commonly used term as it still is today.

Your faith in determinism is compatible with the Quantum Field Theory too...particles do not have to exist for reality to be deterministic...
