Blitz tournament up next!
Thanks for running this tournament Amos!
Up next at the RA center - the annual blitz championship. I will be directing this one.
The format is a six round swiss tournament, where you play each person twice, once as white, once as black. Thus there are twelve games in all. Time control is G/3min + 2 second increments.
We do not use ratings to determine pairings. Instead the initial ranking is randomly ordered, and then those ranking are used to pair people just like a regular swiss tournament. So in round one you could be paired with the best player in the club or the worst. It's all luck of the initial draw.
I really enjoy running this tournament. It's a lot of fun. Club members only. Come out and play!Comment
