Here are the details of the tournament
Location: Le Carrefour High School in Varennes: 123 chemin du Petit-Bois, Varennes (QC) J3X 1P7 Angle of Highway 132 near IGA
Awards and scholarships: $ 16,000 guaranteed
The tournament champion will receive the cup
The first of each section will receive a souvenir plaque.
The open section is rated FIDE-FQE-FCE. Other sections listed FQE-FCE Section E listed FQE-FCE-AEM
• The first four chess boards of the open section will be broadcast live on site and on the website of the Varennes chess club.
• 10 sections of the open section will be available on our web site: www.echecsvarennes.ca
• All results and matches will be posted on the Chess-result website: www.chess-results.com

Public transportation (bus line 700)
It is possible to get to Varennes by bus (700) from the Longueuil metro.
The return is obviously possible and the schedule is very flexible.
The stop is at the corner of the 132 / Gabelle in front of the IGA at 5 min. of the tournament room.

Free hot / cold buffet on site. Indoor heated pool, whirlpool, sauna, exercise room. Free high-speed wireless internet. Located near Highway 20 (Exit 92), on the south shore of Montreal, near the Lafontaine tunnel. Take Highway 20 towards Montreal then towards Varennes (exit 90) on the 132 East.
