Well - we have a new President -Eric Van Deusen from Ottawa. He defeated incumbant David Lavin 13 votes to 12.

I guess counting the votes wasn't all that onerous a job? 25 votes for the President; most positions acclaimed; 3 people (!) vying for the Rating Auditor position!! Wow.

I put my name in so that we wouldn't have Pierre doing nothing for another year. I'm sure Bill will do a great job and if I'd known he was interested I would have supported him.

Thanks Hugh, for posting the news so quickly.

        Congratulations, Eric.

I see Maurice and Bill, a couple of former presidents are volunteering again, that's a positive development. Thanks guys.

I see Ellen is not returning as Jr Coordinator? She deserves a big thank you for all her efforts this past year.

Whether we agree with their decisions or not, we should remember to thank the brave souls who take on these thankless jobs.

        Good Luck.

Does anyone know what the deal with the Youth Coordinator is? Ellen was willing to stand, does that mean nobody nominated her?

Ellen was willing to stand, but not with a new president, so after Eric was elected ...

Anyway, I hope Michael is gonna encourage local organisers to join in this new YCC program. I gather the interest is underwhelming.

And now there is a different person doing the organizing?

For Chris: A whole 4 votes you got? I guess it coulda been worse. It coulda been me who got the 4 votes. :)

Hehe. Well I'm sure if I had made any pitch other than "Vote for me instead of Pierre" I might have gotten more than 4. But the way I look at it is, even with that minimal campaign I still got 33% more votes than Pierre. :D
