The American Continental Championship is currently on in Uruguay. Big field of grandmasters. Raja Panjwani and Shiyam Thavandiran are playing. Are there any other Canadians?

No other Canadians that I could see on chess-results. After 4 rounds, Shiyam is in a 14-way tie for first with 3.5 (he beat a Chilean GM in round 4); Raja has 3 - draws with two GM's.

                      Re: American Continental

and a very nice game it was. Raja's knights dancing around a positional theme of the C-file targeting a backward pawn. Evntually winning a pawn and translating to bishop dominating knight, active king and rook penetration!
