Try ExaChess for OSX. http://www.exachess.com/
Not as refined as Chessbase but has the important features, i.e. UCI engine support, chessbase database files, etc. Lite version is free for tryout.
Alternatively, you can use Parallels to still use Windows within your OSX, but suffer a bit of performance hit.

Re: Mac vs PC if using chessbase??????
The only thing that pc has on the Mac in terms of ease of use is the copy & paste feature, otherwise there is no comparison. Once you've used the Mac for a while, it gets pretty easy to use, just like anything. One of the many advantages I've noticed is the reliability. Haven't crashed it yet. PC crashes programs all the time. Video runs way way better on the Mac, no contest, no crashing.
When browsing on Safari, its easier using tabs then having a bunch of windows open. When it's time to shut it down, simply end the program as opposed to closing a bunch of windows. By the way, Explorer also uses tabs if you want to.
As someone else has mentioned, the main drawback people notice with the Mac is with the programs that are available.

I don't understand what you mean with the copy and paste business. They seem to be exactly the same on both... I am a man who enjoys using multiple Firefox windows. On a PC, this is not a problem, since I can alt tab and it has a taskbar. On a Mac, instead of a taskbar, it just shows a bunch of programs that I rarely use. The taskbar is just so ridiculously more useful and better designed. If Macs had a taskbar and alt tab, then Lucas would be satisfied. -_-;

On Mac, you can open multiple windowsin Safari, but instead of using the task bar, you just use the tabs on the browser. Its really no different. No alt tab, just click on the tab. Pretty simple to me, its a single click.
You can alter the Mac taskbar if you want as well. I don't find it useless at all. I have both Mac and PC. The only reason I keep pc is because of some of the programs, otherwise I would drop the pc like a bad habbit. Trust me, I've used pc since the 80's. There really is no contest. I still remember when Windoze 95 came out. The joke at that time was "oh, this is like Mac 88".
I don't even bother to run virus protection on my Mac, its not even an issue. On the pc, if you don't go through all that hastle, you are doomed.
I use to fix pc's for a living. Not much to fix on a Mac.

You can use multiple tabs on PCs as well, I just prefer using windows. I very rarely use the mouse to copy things unless I'm JUST RELAXING and only have my hand on the mouse; otherwise I'll just do ctrl c. I want to make the Mac taskbar the same as the PC one. Is there a way to do this? I cannot think of a single way in which the Mac one is superior.
Have had this PC for 8 years now, and have had no virus protection for the past few. No problem! :P

PC task bar beats the Mac's.
As for problems with virus, neither do I on a pc. But if you ask the multitudes, I'm certain they have many stories. No such stories from Mac users.
Peace
