The player in 11th place is a young boy. He looked to be about 10-years old, but he appears on the FQE's under 12 list. His FQE rating is 1723.

I was really impressed by how he played. he was quick, played logical moves and showed great composure. He would have done a lot better, but he had to leave early and ended up forfeiting a lot of games.

He definitely has a lot of talent!

Olivier (or is it Oliver?) Kenta Chiku-Ratte came tied for 3rd in the under-10 section of this year's CYCC.

I had fun playing my first real blitz tournament in years. Now that I am back in St. John's, I can look forward to the once-a-year blitz tournament where very few players show up... I'll be back in Montreal next summer for sure!!!
