  • Anton Kovalyov on Live Ratings

Anton Kovalyov is back in the live ratings list of the top 100.>>>>>
    https://2700chess.com/?per-page=100
He is credited with three wins in an ongoing Philadelphia Open? - anyone know anything about such a tournament? Moreover he has not been rated on the Edmonton International which he won. Presumably the CFC is a touch slow in forwarding the results to FIDE for rating - what else is new?

He's playing in the Philadelphia International, which precedes the World Open. He has 3 out of 3 so far.t

Yes, Anton gained 6.8 rating points for Edmonton International and is now 2658. http://ratings.fide.com/individual_c...iod=2018-07-01 Hopefully 2700 soon. As I said before, Anton is enormously talented.

Hi Tony - thanks for the clarification - CFC has enough credibility problems without getting blamed for stuff it didn't do wrong.

More fake news on chesstalk. Bob Gillanders does a good job with the ratings. When something slips between the cracks, I hear about it and it rarely does.

Yes, and when things do not get rated, it is usually the organizers fault. Rating updates once a week are marvellous as opposed to the old days, when it was every 2 months.
