    This is the Simcoe County Chess Club's 1st CFC rated event. Please join us in memory of Tom Arnett, a local player and organizer.

    The prize structure is Plus Score. All prizes are guaranteed. No split prizes. If two people finish with the same plus score, both players are paid the full amount. No need to wait for everyone to finish – collect your prize when you’re done!


    Style: 4 Round Swiss; One section, open to all players.
    Time Control: G/60
    Prizes Guaranteed: 4.0-$100; 3.5-$50; 3.0-$25; 2.5 $10

    Location: Ferris Lane Community Church & Daycare, 49 Ferris Lane, Barrie (close
    to Hwy 400 access)
    Entry Fee*: $25 (pre-registration only)

    Check-in Time: 9:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
    Schedule: 10:00, 12:30, 2:30, 5:00 (30 min. break after 1st & 3rd rounds)
    Equipment: Boards and sets provided

      Hi Craig,

      I hope to see some of the players from Gray Bruce attending the tournament. Also, don't be afraid to invite other players you may know who reside anywhere close to Barrie - maybe there are some players you would know that are in Collingwood.

        This tournament looks like a great excuse to visit Barrie.
