Someone should buy our prime minister a thesaurus. Entropy is not a good thing. "Diversity is leading to entropy."

I am quite familiar with the meaning of malapropism. Perhaps before you accuse someone of not knowing the meaning of "malapropism" you should look up the meaning yourself. I am not sure what big word Trudeau was trying to use but it was an epic fail unless he has come over to the Maxime Bernier way of thinking which I don't believe he has.

Prime Minister Trudeau’s malapropism
September 10, 2018
I have always understood that a malapropism was the mistaken use of a word in place of a similar-sounding one.
Did Trudeau just mistakenly use “entropy” or did he use it in place of a similar-sounding word?
I must be dense but I cannot think of what that similar-sounding word is. Can someone help me here?

In the Quantum computing world instead of Trudeau's convoluted explanation we could view a Quantum computer as a wheel of fortune that delivers random numbers at an incredible frequency. In fact it would be the speed of light (C) divided by the radius of an electron. (You heard it first! :-) That would probably be the maximum computational capacity of a single Quantum CPU.
Below is a picture I took at the conference of the Super cooling system IBM uses in it's Quantum computer that they had on exhibit.Last edited by Sid Belzberg; Tuesday, 11th September, 2018, 07:13 AM.

It's really hilarious that you quote the definition without understanding it but not, alas, surprising. And equally so that you assumed I did not look it up first.
You've obviously been worshiping at Drumpf's feet for too long.
I suppose it would be too much to expect you to clean up the crap HTML.Last edited by Ed Seedhouse; Monday, 10th September, 2018, 10:20 PM.

Definition of malapropism
1 : the usually unintentionally humorous misuse or distortion of a word or phrase; especially : the use of a word sounding somewhat like the one intended but ludicrously wrong in the context "Jesus healing those leopards" is an example of malapropism.
2 : malaprop
— malapropist play \-ˌprä-pist\ noun
Perhaps I should have used the Merriam-Webster definition which makes it clear that the use of the word malapropism applies to situations where there is an unintentionally humorous misuse or distortion of a word or phrase. The existence of a word sounding somewhat like the one intended is a subset of all of the instances of malapropism and not a necessary precondition for all instances.
Of course the ones correcting me probably hold some much more ridiculous views than their mistaken belief that I might be wrong about this.
See their writings on socialism that works, global warming and other such mythical beasts and constructs.
