            Hi Lee ;
            Why do you always run your events on Saturdays? You get more players if you chose Sundays.

                Unfortunately as the site is at the local square and is booked for other events by the city and was the only date available in July and our other site is at a church which makes Sunday's difficult, thou our August tournament will be on a Sunday details will be posted at brantchess.ca in the near future, I am currently looking at some sites in town to host a 2 day regular swiss

                  You sure about that John? Very few people run one day tourneys on Sunday. I cant think it is a coincidence. Not that I have been to a lot of them but the majority of them i have played in have been Saturdays.

                    Hi Gord;
                    Chippawa was a Sunday I believe it was in coordination with a Mississauga Tourney. Two Niagara Falls one days were on Sundays. So there are some.
                    A few people have to work Saturdays Not everyone works on Sundays. I think in Lee's case he cannot book far in advance. If he could he could try and get Sundays or he is a spur of the moment guy and just tries to get a one day at the last minute.

                          Gord:

                          If it was a Sunday, I would play. I have to work on Saturday. Not everyone has weekends off.

                          John
