22 players (21+organizer) came to battle. FM Mike Ivanov won both the Quick and Saturday Blitz walking away with prize money that made him blush. He is also the first player in the Marathon's short history to get a perfect 7/7 in the Quick with including wins over the other two FMs.

Shreyas Krishna Prasad won the U1500 class prize.

FM Nicholas Vettese survived Sunday blitz with both lives and gets a free entry into next year's edition.

Kitchener will be holding the Chess Festival in 2 weeks, as well as a Regular in September and Quick in October. Stay tuned!

It was fun. Will try to be there again next year if you run it.
