FIDE signs a sponsorship agreement with SILA International Lawyers

Neuchâtel, Switzerland, August 7th 2019.
The International Chess Federation is pleased to announce a new partnership with SILA International Lawyers.
FIDE and SILA signed an agreement for a period of 1 year, from August 2019 to August 2020, with the possibility of further extension.
From now on, SILA will act as an official legal partner of FIDE and in this capacity will advise the International Chess Federation on various legal issues.
SILA International Lawyers is an international firm with offices in Switzerland, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and Bulgaria. The firm's trademark is the sports law practice – SILA represents numerous famous athletes, coaches, agents and clubs. The firm has extensive experience of representing clients in the Court of arbitration for sport (CAS).
SILA is also widely experienced in legal advising for international sports competitions, including the 2018 FIFA World Cup, and the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship.
