Who were the players of this so-called 'game of chess'?

        From http://chess-results.com/tnr460747.a...et=YES&flag=30

        looks like:

        Rodrigue-Lemieux, Shawn - Chiku-Ratte, Olivier-Kenta

I guess they had buses to catch, places to be... :)

I'm not sure if this will be an easy or difficult game to annotate...

          Any suggestions?

I'd be interested in having some of our senior arbiters weigh in on this one. I would think as the organizer, I'd be pissed.

              Early draws are old news.

Unless there was some explicit rule about agreed draws, I think this is just the sound of inevitability. I am not an arbiter but I doubt any penalty could have been assessed under normal CFC/FIDE rules (tournament rules excepted as noted already). Perhaps that is why baseball (for example) has a rather vague rule about disrespect for the game... :) See 8.01 Umpire Qualifications and Authority

We had a few instances of this (very short draws) some years ago in our biggest annual event - the Abe Yanofsky Memorial, and subsequently implemented a 'no draws before 30 moves rule'.

Of course, that's why things like the 30 move rule are in certain FIDE events. However to play a game (even if only 3 moves) and intentionally play poor moves just stinks.

I am sure that I have seen those moves previously probably in the grade 1 section of the Windsor Chess Challenge where experienced chess players should not look at the games for the horrors once observed cannot be unseen.

Another "joke" game - this time from the NAYCC - White mated Black with six Kinghts.
