One of our core goals as an organization is to see more and more Canadian players get titled. So we're very excited to plan our first Norm event tentatively scheduled for Feb 19 to Feb 23, 2020.
The first step in our plan is to secure International Masters (IM's). So we are now seeking Canadian or Foreign International Masters that can be part of this Norm Event.

- Invitational Section (With expected minimum rating of opponents of 2230)
- 9 Round Robin – CFC and FIDE rated
Time Control
- 90 mins plus 30 sec increment

- Wed – Rd 1 10 AM & Rd 2 4 PM; Thu – Rd 3 10 AM & Rd 4 4 PM; Fri – Rd 5 7 PM; Sat – Rd 6 11 AM & Rd 7 4 PM; Sun – Rd 8 10 AM & Rd 9 4 PM

Registration/Appearance Fees
- $300 in appearance fees offered to IM’s
- No Registration fees for IM’s. Candidates are required to pay a registration fee
Guaranteed Prize Money
- 1st Prize: $1,000
- 2nd Prize: $300
- 3rd Prize: $200
Others
- Complimentary coffee and snacks
- Special discounted rates for hotel accommodation
Tournament Conditions
- No byes are allowed
- No draws by agreement allowed before completion of move 30
- No forfeits
- Any violation of conditions will result in bridge of conditions and forfeiture of appearance fees and prize money, where applicable
