The World Senior Championship can be followed on chess24 For Chess Results, it would appear that Calgary's Dale Haessel tied for first place in the blitz tournament.

In the main event, Dale defeated IM Francois Vareille from France last round, as well as drawing with GM Ralf Akesson from Sweden in round 2. He has so far picked up 25 FIDE rating points. Go Dale!

Victor Plotkin from Toronto had to settle for a draw last round with GM Morovic after obtaining a winning endgame. Victor and Dale have 3.5/5, in this 11 round event.

Toronto's David Filipovich is also competing and Leon Piasetski is in the over 65 division.

Victor Plokin crushed GM Lev Pshakis, with the black pieces to have 4.5/6. Maybe Victor can become an IM before his son Mark?
