  • Vancouver chess lawsuit is complex: link supplied

There is an interesting, important, and complex chess-related lawsuit happening in Vancouver. I just read the article in the Toronto Star, and posted that link here. The judge in the case, Mr. Justice Geoffrey Gomery, was a classmate of mine at Queen's University back in the day! Geoff was a casual chess player back then, friends with Santo D'Agostino, also a classmate, who got his rating over 2000; and Ken Braithwaite, noted problemist and sometime decently strong and keen player.

Amazingly, the expert also failed to notice the one-digit difference in the phone number, according to Deline.
Deline spent $4,864 hiring the forensic analyst and lawyer, according to court documents.
He probably should try getting his money back from that "expert" ...
