  • COVID-19: Kingston CC uses bows, instead of handshakes

Due to COVID-19, the Kingston Chess Club, this past Monday, did away with our normal pre / post-game handshakes between opponents, in favour of bows, Japanese-style! We will continue with this.

Perhaps this idea could be used by other chess clubs and events!

    Cheers,

It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, but this is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads.

Also, the virus can survive on surfaces, such as plastic, for days and days.
