  • Mystery game #65: White's superb attack on French Winawer too strong

Here is the text of an interesting game. You can discuss the game: era, setting, player strengths, time controls, etc. I will provide all data in a few days. Enjoy!!

NM Miladin Djerkovic (2365) -- Graham Allen (2188), Kingston Open 1997 (2). French, Winawer, C18. Time controls 30/90', SD/60'. Played 1997-02-08. TD / Organizer: Larry Bevand, assistant: Frank Dixon.

IMPORTANT: I just have to make one correction on my earlier post with this game. Black's 32nd move was 'Ke8', not 'Kc8'. When I started looking at the game, I only had one carbon, and it wasn't clear; but then I found the second carbon, and can confirm it was, in fact, 32...Ke8 being played.
Detailed notes to follow on this very impressive game by White.
