NM Miladin Djerkovic (2275) -- Dr. Peter Sibbald (1999), Kingston Open 2001 (5). Played 2001-02-11. French, Winawer, C19. Time controls 30/90', SD/60'. Organizer: Rob Hutchison, TD: Frank Dixon.

Excellent play from Black secures a hard-fought draw with a strong NM, who plays very strongly in this variation. Black keeps his king in the centre, usually risky in the French. White was a pawn up, but Black manages to generate enough counterplay to save half a point, as the position is repeating.
