    It was an amateur "section" of the online tournament organized by the AIDEF ( l’Association Internationale des Échecs Francophones ).

    The third placed was won by the "amateur' Canadian team in the tournament held the last weekend !!!

    The Francophone Chess Association (AIDEF) is organizing the 1st Francophone online chess team championship.

    Major details:

    1. 1 team per country, Quebec has a separate team

    2. Each team consists of 4 players and up to 2 reserve players. In each round at least 1 female player must play. Practically, we are looking for 4 men and 2 women.

    3. Reply until May 24, tournament is free. Winners receive a personal invitation (tickets + accommodation) to the next "Rencontres Internationales des Echecs Francophones" (RIDEF).

    4. TC: 15 + 5.

    5. Schedule: May 29 (Sat) 6 rounds (10 AM - 11 AM - 12 - 1 PM - 2 PM - 3 PM). May 30 (Sun) 5 rounds (10 - 11 - 12 - 1 - 2)

    6. Team pairings, 11 rounds Swiss.

    7. AIDEF includes 42 members. Some of them: Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Greece, Moldova, Quebec, Romania, Switzerland.
