Stijn De Kerpel (2147) -- NM Peter Hum (2241), Kingston Open 2002 (2). English, Symmetrical, A34. Played 2002-02-09. Time controls 30/90', SD/60'. TD: Frank Dixon, Organizer: Rob Hutchison.

White did think for some 50 minutes over his 14th move, so this game was by no means a draw agreed beforehand. Both players, from Ottawa, are strong and experienced, and were seeking advantage, but their tries were well met, with time shortage becoming a factor for White in the final position.
