https://chess-results.com/tnr593115....et=YES&flag=30 A Peruvian Gm and an Indian IM finish a half point ahead of a huge mass of Americans. Looks like the Americans beat up on themselves. What a competitive tournament! Good work out for Canadians.

https://www.chessbomb.com/arena/2021...-Bodek_Michael Last round delight. Queen and knight dance at the end but it was the rook sacrifice 21.Rxf7! that set it all up.

I was watching this game more closely (norm possibility, where Black had to play for the win), and one could really feel the tide turn with the seemingly careful 12.Bf2 - Bodek fought gamely, but Naroditsky really worked hard to leave no doubt he would win then and there. Some other games in the last round imperfectly reduced to endgame wins that took longer. Naroditsky killed it ASAP.

Thanks for the extra commentary Aris, it makes all the difference. Thats the problem with being remote, you dont know the situation and cant see the atmosphere as the games are evolving.

You're very welcome Hans! I was fortunate to be there. There is indeed so much to observe from body language, silent self-gestures away from the board, spectators' faces, etc. Great event.
