Where: Units 4-6, 975 Westport Crescent, Mississauga, Ontario
Rounds: Registration ends @ 9:00 am. Rounds on Saturday 10:00 am, 2:30 pm, 7:00 pm; Sunday 10:00 am, 3:00 pm.
Format
5 Round Swiss. CFC rated & FIDE rated for Open & U-2000. CFC rated for U-1500 & U-1000. CFC membership is required.
Sections: OPEN, U-2000, U-1500, and U-1000
Note: Sections may be combined or changed based on the number of registered participants. We may also have the top 6 players by CFC rating play in a round-robin top section.
Round Times
Registration ends 9:00 am | Rounds @ Saturday 10:00 am, 2:30 pm, 7:00 pm; Sunday 10:00 am, 3:00 pm.
Time Controls
1.5 hrs + 30 secs increment – All Sections
Byes
1/2 points for rounds 1 to 4 (All sections)
The byes MUST be requested in advance, at the latest prior to the end of the previous round.

EARLY BIRD Entry fees (February 14, 2022 deadline): OPEN $99 | U-2000 $99 | U-1500 $89 | U-1000 $79 | FM $69 | GM & IM FREE
Add $10 after Feb 14 and another $10 after Feb 28.
Playing up a section cost $20 if within 100 rating points. To play up, add the play up fee option during registration or send money by email money transfer to info@elevatemychess.com

Total Prize Pool of $2,450 distriubted as follows:
OPEN: 1st – $400; 2nd – $250; 3rd – $200
U-2000: 1st – $350; 2nd – $200; 3rd – $150
U-1500: 1st – $300; 2nd – $150; 3rd – $100
U-1000: 1st – $200; 2nd – $100; 3rd – $50
Unrated may not win over $100 in U-1500 & U-1000.
Players with provisional rating (i.e. with less than 20 rated games) will be considered as unrated for this tournament.
Rating: The latest highest of CFC / USCF / FQE / (FIDE + 100 pts) to be used.

Refund Policy
No cash refunds on withdrawal. Credit for an equal amount will be given if you notify us of withdrawal on or before March 1, 2022. Credits can be used to register for tournaments and other programs offered by Elevate My Chess. The registration fee will be forfeited if you don’t notify us of withdrawals before March 1, 2022. However, consideration for credit will be considered in special circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
