  • search for GTCL chess clubs

I am updating the GTCL chess club list and as a visual map it might be found at http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...9ef9bf3ae3a1b0

Is your club/place in this GT Area? Please inform me about it.

The main reason is that the GTCL starts a new club competition season. Regulations will be posted soon on the GTCL webpage (http://www.torontochess.org )

The first registered team to Premier and Cup competitions is the defending champion - Chess Academy of Canada.

Wow I just looked at the roster for the Chess Academy of Canada and really is there any team that can give them a challenge?

        There is always hope :)

University of Toronto is considering to enter the competition. (They practiced hard during their weekend-open tournaments - time to count chickens)
The Saturday Blitz gang might be real chasers :D

It is not yet a chess club.

Meetup group "Chess in Toronto" will meet this Tuesday (October 20) at Scruffy Murphy's 150 Eglinton Ave. East, Toronto (relatively not far from the Strategy Games shop). There is a price CAD3.00 per person. Details http://www.meetup.com/Toronto-Chess
