Agreed, Duane also had one that he would use from time to time, but he preferred the Les Paul and is buried with one.Originally posted by Neil Frarey View PostComment

That begs the question ...
Would you rather be buried with an open G file or an open G string?Comment

My brother was a huge Allman Brother fan. He would go to the Beacon every year to see them. My wife presented Derek Trucks at Luminato in 2009. I had a front row seat. Small world.Originally posted by Brad Thomson View Post

Thanks Ian! In 1993 I saw Derek Trucks play in a bar, The Penguin, on Elgin Street in Ottawa, when he was 14. He is a genius. I spoke to him after the show and asked if he would be joining The Allman Brothers Band- he said something to the effect of, yes hopefully but he had to finish high school first. I told him that I loved Duane Allman more than any other musician, and that he played very much in the spirit of Duane, and he agreed in a shy kind of way. In the background at the time The Tragically Hip could be heard, and I noticed that Derek noticed and liked it, and I told him who they were.Comment

Didn't take a break after all, ha! Went on to try and win our Champion Division ... we won!
Hard fight that I don't want to repeat anytime soon with the division lead changing hands several times. But it was well worth the energy, only one can qualify from this Champion Division to go on to the final division ... Legend Division.
Recap ... we've won the Bronze Division, Silver Division, Crystal Division, Elite Division and just today won the Champion Division!!!
13th week of the year with a score of 1,313 ... oh ya!
