  • Canadian Chess Challenge (May 21-22)

The Canadian Chess Challenge is in progress in Montreal. It consists of 12-player provincial teams of one player from each grade, playing against each other province (grade vs same grade).

After 6 rounds, BC and Ontario have 5/5; Quebec with 5/6 (BC beat Quebec 6.5-5.5).

Still to come on Monday morning are BC vs Ontario and Quebec vs Ontario, so those scores could change.

Congratulations to B.C. and the folks at Vancouver Chess School.

The event was very competitive for first place...nice to see B.C. win their first championship at this competition!

Next year the Nationals will be held in the Maritimes.
