The US has a second team made up of Krishan, Ramesh, Suresh, and Chirag Jhunjhnuwala - all senior brothers. Krishan represented Hong Kong in the 1978 and 1982 Olympiads; Naresh in the 1978, 1982, 1984, and 1988 Olympiads; Ramesh in the 1978, 1986, and 1988 Olympiads.

I guess they decided to have a big family outing and get-together...

https://en.chessbase.com/post/world-...-teams-2023-r1 Mike Dougherty gets the picture front centre of the world senior teams report. Apparently Michael is very photogenic. Congratulations Michael!

                    Yes, great front page shot!

Also, Victor's game starts off the Day 1 Report,
and wow, that looked like a long intense game.

A good result for Team Canada. The team finished in 6th place and came back to end up +2. All the team members had plus scores.

Victor Plotkin needed to win last round game for IM norm That is more like a GM norm given everyone's low rating. Victor is always our anchor. He loves grinding down seniors in six hour games, while we go for dinner! We had great team spirit, but also missed our Board 1 from previous year's David Cummings. When we played the English Women's team they were all asking about him and wishing him well.

Love that post! Victor does grind seniors, especially as he's often more fit, and David is indeed charming!
