  • Time for the Last Game of the Tournament

Dear tournament organizers, is it possible to schedule the time for the last game to 3 pm? It could attract more players to participant. Currently, if the tournament is taking place in Toronto and the last game is set to begin at 5 pm, it typically concludes around 9 pm for higher-level players. For those traveling from Kingston or London, it means they would only arrive back home around 11 pm. Furthermore, participants from Ottawa or Windsor would reach their homes as late as 1 am the next day. And typically, that is a work day.

I would like to recommend considering the practices of the Ottawa Chess Club, which organizes tournaments with the last game starting at 3 pm. This earlier timing allows players from Toronto and Montreal to comfortably return home before midnight, ensuring a more convenient and enjoyable experience for all.

You probably have someone in mind. Thus, you should talk directly with them. You might find that they have some serious reasons - start later, oh don't have anything :/

Aurora Opens starts their last round 2:30 pm. Probably you revealed the secret for the sold out tournament :)
