  • First chess puzzle

I and my student were analysing the game Spielmann - Pirc Moscow 1935 and we came to a position that involved a delightful pawn checkmate. I said to him Youve just created your first chess puzzle. What do you mean? Have you ever composed a puzzle before? Uh, no. But you really like this pawn checkmate. Uh, yeah. So I'll teach you how to write it down and you can show your friends. The puzzle is shown below: checkmate in at most 5 moves. However the solution he liked was: 1.Nh4+ Kh5, 2.Bf7+ Kg5 3.Nf3+ Kf5 4.g4++ 1-0
