Rising Star Odyssey Five - Youth Chess Tournament

Who: students grade K to 12 (Age 5-19) who loves playing chess*
*If you do not have CFC ID, you can register here. For players under 20yrs, NO annual membership fee required.
When: Sunday, January 14th, 2024
Where : 1020 Denison St. Suite 205, Markham (Close to Warden / Steeles)
Rounds: 5 Rounds: starting at 1:30pm. All rounds will be A.S.A.P. Refreshments are provided.

Sections: U900, U1300 and U1800
$10 to play-up for those within 100 points of higher section.
Rating: The tournament will be CFC quick rated
Time Control: Game in 25 minutes plus 5 seconds delay per move (Bronstein)
Entry Fee: $40 .All players must register before Jan 12th. 10% Discount for Maverick Chess club members
No registration on site.
First come first serve as capacity is limited to 60 players.

Prizes: Cash as well as Medals for top three places in each section.
